And I think he'd be a great mobster. He has his ways to work himself up, take out obstacles in his way, he's good working alone so he wouldn't solely depend on lackeys either, he's not afraid of showing them how to do the dirty work properly if they don't want to end up missing.
If I'm right, most of of these businesses were build up from controlled liquor sales, gambling, and prostitution, so he probably has his hands in one or two of these. He knows how to gamble, he knows and can smuggle around contraband with no issues so selling them wouldn't be much of a hassle, don't know about prostitution and his opinions on it or if he'd considered getting people for that. I'm leaving him with the two things I know he'd be good at.
