i wish i had more exciting news regarding progress, i really do but i think i speak for all uni students when i say: it’s been a motherfucking semester.

i’ll admit this much though! i was able to compress down my twine passages for this game from this:

heyyyyy so after some editing (huge massive thank you to the lovely people who beta’d!!) i’ll be releasing the demo next weekend to get it off my hands and you all can smell what the rock has been cooking up. erm, i’m also considering bumping up the rating to 18+ for Reasons. if i go ahead with this i’ll make a formal announcement. 

additionally, i have chopped off a whole branch since last update because i was not gelling with it. and sometimes that’s life babey! *clinks your glass*

hellooo!! here’s the progress report. between the first release and now, i’ve re-uploaded several times to accommodate some features and most glaringly, fix grammatical issues. 

for coding, the profile popup page is set to be edited for chapter two so that the relationship stats for the ROs are now stat bars; and the save function will be changed so that the save name can be edited, instead of the default very first line of the passage. this could be handy or just excessive LMAOO

in terms of writing, chapter two chalks up to being a lot of dialogue and then some because there are three personality stats for the MC, each with a respective opposing stat. we’ll uhhhh see how that goes<3

besides all that, i’m posting doodles of the cast on my ko-fi gallery for supporters just as a fun aside. theyre not “canon” in the sense that i’d really rather readers to visualize for themselves what everyone looks like; i just draw for fun on the side too. check it out if you’re interested or want to support my writing! so far, malachi and lu are up.

Athletic build. Brown skin tone and short, curly black hair. Dark amber eyes. Dimples appear when smiling. Particularly husky voice.

If presenting masculine or androgynous, keeps a trimmed stubble.

the ROGUE, Malachi Savea

Average height with broad shoulders. Green eyes and thick arched eyebrows; deep golden skin tone. Thick, wavy dark brown hair that flicks upward at the ends. Has a slight lisp. Farsighted. 

the DOCTOR, Lu Wen

Tall with a wiry build, which makes them appear even taller. Olive skin tone with freckles. Gray monolid eyes. Straight, tidy black hair that reaches just above the shoulder.

hello hello! hope everyone is keeping well :0) i’ve been busy getting back into uni and all that (*passes out and flatlines*) so i appreciate the patience.

in terms of progress, i am 30k into chapter 2. i considered briefly switching to twee3 notation but as it turns out i cannot be arsed so i’ll only be using tweego for compiling. if none of that makes any sense to you, don’t worry about it<3 

i am also going to comb through the text for the current build and clean it up in the next update which won’t be out for a bit but if it’s any consolation, i do have a date and it is within this year.

additionally, i believe i’ll be removing the romance stat bar in the next update too (there will be plenty of romance available pls trust me) which might be strange but to compensate, it will be abundantly clear if your MC has captured someone’s attention. the respect stat will be untouched. 

finally, it should be noted for anyone who has gone code-diving that the password for the achievement unlocking question is (perhaps tragically) not the actual answer.

hellooo!! i haven’t made a log in a bit! 

i’ve been writing but there’s really nothing to say (read: i don’t want to falsely promise anything). it’s quite a bit longer than the current demo word count and as i write i’m actively telling myself to make the characters either annoying or creepy. i’ve already set this project for a mature audience and i intend to make full use of that which MEANS when i inevitably update the content warnings list again, please read it!!
