Yeah. Not every male Au Ra needs to be “ow the edge” even if that’s how they lean aesthetically. But I mean, they’re so rare I get genuinely surprised when I see another one in game so… My lizard is based off a sweet baby boy as well, but the baby boy turns into an absolute nightmare man which made him a delicate balancing act that ended up with sad baby.

when you see a raen or a xaela? bc i swear i see xaela all the time and i see a raen like once in a blue moon LMAO (my version of this is getting excited when i see someone actually using the same facepaint i have since catboys themselves are a dime a dozen)

So something I will warn you about the heavy duty cases on redbubble: they are slippery AF. I broke my screen protector something like once every other month with one of those cases when I had never broken one before. Aesthetically yeah, they're extremely nice but watch out.

lmao my current phonecase IS a heavy duty redbubble one, theyre basically the only kinds i tend to get. i’ve never had an issue with them, but then again i’m not exactly ever moving my phone around in places where it could smash

I was actually referring to combo as in combination magic/melee but comboing classes are also fun even if I always hecking them up. Dude Gridania sucks so hard. Every time I’m there I become aware of how acutely miserable I am. Foulques is literally the only reason to come. *shuffles away like 15 sheets of Foulques/WoL fanfic*

OH yeah that makes sense lmao. 

yeah i mean all of the city states kinda have their issues but i guess i feel it harder with gridania bc theyre like so...Earthy Nature Otherworldly but also Hella Racist. at least with ul’dah you go into it knowing its like Messy Political lol and limsa its like. literally pirates of course its a mess. 

ishgard doesnt get that much better since its literally The Church VS Dragons but also i love so many npcs from there so its worth it

Look, in any other final fantasy game Foulques would be the cantankerous dude in a long white coat and I LOVE that archetype so I was bound to be a sucker for him from the second he showed up. But yeah, I’m pretty resigned to not actually getting any interesting story from my main job and finding it elsewhere so I’ll manage. Red mage probably is fun, but I generally enjoy combo classes so I’m not one to really judge.

oh yeah combo classes were a fun i didnt expect since black mage and bard didnt really have combos. now one of my favorite melees is ninja which is like combos and then its like ‘here are three mudras that you have remember combinations for to do specific attacks’ which is a fun ride. 

and absolutely, he’s a bastard but man was he more entertaining than some of the racisty bastards in other quests in gridania (im looking at you, guy from the archers guild who hates cat people)

I’ve actually really enjoyed Lancer. Foulques is my favorite character bar-none and I’m going to be really sad when he dies. I’ve started Black Mage but haven’t made a ton of progress coz my leveling has come to a screeching halt but I’m still not holding my breath that things are going to get interesting story-wise. I just really enjoy the mechanics of pure dps magic.

oh yeah lancer was pretty good! and yeah lmao black mage at least 30-50 was....eh? and yeah i wanted to do blm at first because i thought pure magic dps would be fun but as it turns out, i hate standing still LMAO. but blm is like one of the strongest dps in game, so if you’re doing good then you’re definitely gonna be super strong lmao

I’m pretty sure the trim with the next patch will do next to nothing for me since I am so close to finishing ARR that I’ve probably already done the ~13 quests they’re trimming. It’s like they think I’m playing coz I want to play my game with others and not because I want to create a tragic narrative in a fancy doll maker.

everyone knows the real end game is glamour. we are only here to pick outfits and stare at our characters, not PLAYING with OTHER PEOPLE

theres the great wall of 100 quests in between ARR and HW and i assume thats where most of the trimming is lmao

I was going to ask you WTF happened to your hotbars but then I remembered you play with a controller. It seems to make your hud less cluttered.

LMAO yeah, definitely a lot less cluttered because they’re basically just stuck with only the crossbar buttons even if you can expand them to put more buttons and stuff (and still have clickable things with a mouse like my emotes and my jobs since i still play on desktop)
