It was early morning. The official work day has yet to start, but you like walking in before the morning chaos. It allows you to relax and see what needs to be done in peace.
But something is strange today. There's a faint ringing in your ears. You know you don't have tinnitus, so it isn't that. Nothing electrical is the source of the noise either. In fact, the ringing is following you, even when you remove all potential sources from your person.
It grows louder over the morning. At one moment, when things are quiet, you have to rest your head on the desk because everything was growing darker. After a few minutes dedicated to deep breaths, your vision returns to normal, but the ringing grows louder.
By the time your lunch break came around, you are stuck on the couch. Your head is in a state of constant pain, you can't think straight, your vision is blurry.
Yet, there is a figure standing opposite you. He was dressed in black, with hints of red and blue around him. His head tilts to the side, and he grins.
