I get the sense that this Dean is like Julia Roberts' character in Runaway Bride, leading Castiel to eventually declare, "You are the most lost man I have ever met."
I’ve never seen the movie, but that certainly sounds like what I was going for. Dean, latching on to different identities when he develops a crush falls hard for someone. I think there’s a lot of good and bad to be gotten from that (learning about new stuff b/c you have a crush on someone is totally legit; changing your entire way of life is a little much...) but yeah. Dean’s a little lost.
