My personal headcanon is that it wasn’t John who ‘swung by Stanford’ to make sure Sam was safe. My personal headcanon is that it was Dean himself who did this. In that last gif, that isn’t the look of a person remembering something they were told. That’s the look of a person remembering what they themselves experienced.
