"A few months ago I was in a scooter accident that crushed my leg and broke my clavicle. I had nutlike trauma injuries and pain 24/7. I was scared and frightened. To escape from everything happening with me I thought I'd finally watch Supernatural, because it's something I vaguely wanted to do for years. It had the most seasons for me to get lost in if I liked it. Thank God for Netflix. I was so surprised at how funny and heartfelt it was. Soon I was forgetting my pain and fear; I was so drawn into Sam and Dean and their relationship. The show made me laugh for the first time in a month. Then I wondered if Jared and Jensen were close in real life and I hoped they were. So I started watching the conventions on YouTube and the boys were just as wonderful in real life! So inspiring, humble, hilarious, and real. (As a bonus they live in the same town as I do, Austin! So they felt like my homeboys.) That's when I got hooked on the whole #Supernatural world and then there was no going back. I feel Supernatural and its convention videos got me through one of the hardest times in my life. They sped up my healing because they made me laugh so much. The story lines were so engrossing I forgot to be afraid, in pain and consumed with myself. It made me open my heart and feel joy, happiness and even love. Who knew a TV show could do all that! I'm still healing, but the way I look at my injury now is I'm actually glad it happened because my accident caused me to discover Supernatural, the wonderful, inspiring, unexpected new love of my life. Long live Supernatural!" #supernaturalfamily #spnforever #spnfandom #spnfamily #supernaturaledits #teamfreewill #samwinchester #deanwinchester #jaredpadalecki #jensenackles #mishacollins #j2m #spnew
