Are you planning another round of the femslash mini-bang? If you are, I think that you should change the rules so that cis-swaps/gender bends aren't allowed because they are inherently very transphobic. This is merely a suggestion, but one that I think you should consider.

I’m currently not quite sure of the future femslash/minibang status right now! I (Cheyanne/Haelstorm) am not really part of the fandom anymore, so this blog has mostly been inactive unless I’ve been asked to promo other events, and of course to reblog the minibangs from this year.

I was going to direct you to our other mod, Kaitlin @cumslutjensen​, (who shouldered the brunt of the minibang in 2014 and then as far as I’m aware coordinated the entire thing this year), who I think would be much more helpful about this. However, it seems like neither her blog nor her personal blog has updated in about a month or so; if she’s taken a hiatus and I’m no longer in the fandom, someone else would have to take over the event in order to continue.

So if that’s the case and someone chooses to take over, my advice for you would be to talk to them about this suggestion! (Or Kaitlin, of course, if she returns and wants to host it again.) Personally, I would want to strive to make the event as inclusive and respectful as possible; unfortunately, however, since it isn’t exactly my event, I can’t guarantee the mod would agree. (Though I do think this is an important topic to cover in future minibangs!)

On that note, if anyone else has some more information about the future of this minibang, please let me know!

Title: Drifting Summary: Anna doesn’t know if she can handle it much longer. For years, she has felt broken and wrong. She’s sad and lonely. After Jo left her because she couldn’t handle Anna being asexual, there really wasn’t a lot of things left for her to live for.

And then comes Ruby, smiling and lovely Ruby. Ruby who cares and loves her.

This is the art I did for achillecas/youaregonecas’s SPN Femslash Mini Bang fic “Drifting” (ao3, LJ links). The scene I chose to illustrate is one where Ruby gives Anna her hoodie - I could see it so vividly when I read the scene, I just had to. And it was very fun to draw!

She talks down bridezillas and settles family disagreements with just a few choice words, ensuring that every couple she meets gets the fairy tale they want, even if a wedding is the last thing wants for herself. However, when Samantha Winchester, bride-to-be of Gabrielle’s former classmate Luke “Lucifer” Novak, walks into her office, her world is turned upside down, and all of Gabby’s plans are tossed out the window.

Here’s the art I made for powerfulweak‘s SPN Femslash Mini Big Bang fic “Best Laid Plans”. I chose to depict two scenes: one where Samantha tries on her wedding dress, and Samantha and Gabrielle’s first kiss (spoilers, I guess?). This was fun to work on, especially since I’ve never drawn fem!Sam or fem!Gabriel before.
