OK YOU GUYS HERE IT IS.
A MISHA TATTOO STORY.
I debated for a long time posting about this, like, almost a year. It means a lot to me (as people who chat with me know!) but I always hesitating sharing it with people. But now, with the announcement that SPN will be coming to an end, I feel like it means something now more than ever, so heeeere it is.
I went to the Montreal Supernatural Convention in April of 2018 (I can’t believe how long this post has sat in my drafts!) and I met Misha for the second time. After saying hello to each other with big wide smiles, I was able to tell him what an inspiration he was to me. I asked him to write the words ‘Carry On’ for many personal reasons (and a few Supernatural related reasons OBVIOUSLY).
He looked up at me and smiled and put his hand on his chest over his heart, thanked me and then started writing the words. Then I told him my plan to get them tattooed as he started drawing these little Castiel wings/halo/tie!
He made a mistake on the tie and started laughing and we were just both giggling for a good while before he looked up and said ‘this is gonna be THE WORST TATTOO!’ and I said ‘Oh Misha don’t even worry about it- I LOVE it!’
He smiled and slid my notebook back to me and I was in so much shock that he even drew ANYTHING! Let alone those little Cas symbols! I chose to get the wings next to the words and to have them tattooed exactly as he wrote them.
Every time I look at this little tat I smile- I hope it might make someone out there smile too!
It not only reminds me of the incredible person that Misha is, but also the wonderful show that has helped me through so many hard times, and the overwhelming love and acceptance of this SPN family. The show may end but we will remain, the friendships we’ve made and the family we are so lucky to be a part of aren’t goin’ anywhere.
