The alien girl could see that her best friend, who she hadn´t seen for years, was EXHAUSTED and on top of that he was injured. But the doctor had done a good job and he was going to be okay. Jaylah stood between the door and watched the vulcan as he was resting on the couch. His eyes were closed and Jaylah assumed he was sleeping. While she was standing there, despite everything that happened, she couldn´t ignore the feeling of happiness inside of her. Happy to see her best friend again. All those years during her imprisonment she´d needed him so bad. And the possibility of maybe seeing him again, had been part of what kept her going on. The hope, that his PROMISE, that they´d see each other again, would become true. After a few minutes, she walked towards him and came to a stop in front of the couch again, before sitting down on the free stop in front him, next to his belly. She was careful not to touch the wound he had. Slowly, she raised her hand and placed it on his cheek, her thumb softly rubbing his skin. Then, she positioned herself so she was half laying, half sitting and rested her head on his chest. “You held your promise”, she whispered, a happy and genuine smile on her lips.
