So while having a conversation with Demy,

he brought forth an interesting conversation topic

"What is the difference between Standards and Expectations?"

I actually had to ponder this question a bit, because I wrestled in my mind what the difference is between compromise and settling (two different concepts i know).

After some thought, I answered, "Standards are the black and white of the relationship," they determine the rules of engagement, while "expectations could and could not be met - the grey if you will".

What are your thoughts on this?
