He'd finally done it. Who would have thought that relying on the TARDIS to translate almost everything in the universe would make his past gift of picking up languages become rusty and dull? Well, anyone with the ability to ponder on such scenarios. He really was wishing his original hadn't been so lazy about such things, but his original had no desire to be without the TARDIS long enough for the connection to be severed. And he had no plan to gain another duplicate, but here he was.
Running into a dead end because he had mispronounced one syllable and instead of saying something which wouldn't get him chased and cornered, he wound up saying one of the worst insults known to that species.
He'd ran because he didn't want anyone to get hurt. He didn't want them to get hurt and he had the feeling that they'd manage to get him hurt in the time it took for him to defend himself, even with his experience with Venusian Aikido.
But he wasn't going to surrender, knowing that they'll undoubtedly take his surrender as him asking them to pummel him until he'd be a mix of blood and Flesh goo. That was definitely not an option.
So he went into the defensive crouch, preparing to defend himself with the mere intent to show that pummeling him was not going to happen.
