Happy May
I honestly thought today was going to be dreadful, only because I had pulled an all-nighter and slept at six thirty am this morning. After three hours of on and off nap, I woke up feeling like a zombie. I was late to class because I could not go without some coffee. Then came the four hours of sitting in the same building, in the same exact seat, listening to the same exact information. Classes can be really boring.
But to my surprise, I didn't fall asleep in class like I planned. I kept myself up by searching flights from here to Europe. Out of nowhere, I booked my Europe trip. That moment, I can't even describe how I felt. But it felt good. It was a mixture of excitement, happiness, ecstatic and I'm really fucking doing this right now...! It's one of the best feelings knowing that after all the hard work I've done these last few years; being a full-time student and working two part-time jobs on top of all the volunteer work I do for the organizations I am very actively involved with, I can do this for myself. With the busy life I live, I never have ME time, and now I am capable of providing self happiness. I am sending myself abroad to do what I absolutely love doing. And the best part of all this is the fact that I didn't need any help doing it. I feel accomplished and proud for being able to take those steps toward my dreams and goals. I am living life because of me, and that's the way it should always be.
After that, I was in such a good mood, I had a dinner date with my love and then power napped on stage before Filipino Night rehearsal. I heard a traumatizing, motivating story and am now ready to take on the world with the inspiration it left, some determination and this plane ticket in hand. May started off to be a very exciting and wonderful day. All I can talk about are the tomorrows to come and I can't help but smile when I find myself thinking about what the next few weeks and months have in store for me.
