☆ SOTW 2026 ● W2 (5jan~11jan) ☆

This week I had watched the film Kamikaze Girls (2004), and rewatched Swing Girls (2004), so it put me in the mood for 00's Japanese music, specifically that fun bubbly sound of Shibuya-kei / Picopop. I listened to a lot of Serani Poji and CAPSULE, and tracks from the above mentioned films soundtracks. Stand out track is The Body of Earthling.

☆ SOTW 2026 ● W1 (29dec~4jan) ☆

Trying to start myself off in a lighter mood this year, and to achieve this I have chosen to explore the works of Stereolab. Previously all I knew was the odd single, namely 'Come and Play in the Milky Night' and 'The Flower Called Nowhere,' so it's been fun diving into their discography. Track favourite at the time of writing has to be 'Rainbo Conversation' :)

Yes, I am making an attempt to start music posting again. I tried to start this project in 2024, with little success. It's just difficult for me to have so much to say about what I'm listening to every week, and the confidence to post it. I have been keeping logs personally, and over on RYM, but I would like to start posting here again as I originally wanted to. I don't really know what the music blogging scene is like here, or if any followers are interested, but I want to, so I will :3

Completely forgot to keep posting my weekly top listened to albums the moment I said it oops. anyway I'm back in Shibuya-Kei mode and having a great time. Really loving the band Cecil, shame they're not on streaming but there's plenty of youtube uploads :)
