To answer your question-The Pumpkin King is a separate identity from Jack! He is Father Fall the spirit of change and the Halloween Holiday! Jack is simply his vessel! He has had many before Jack and may have many after him too!
Their relationship is a complicated one two spirits one body! Would probably be a good time to mention that no one else but Jack can hear the kings voice or see him when he isn’t possessing jacks physical body! X,D
