The good thing about having your own original characters is you can have them help you out trying to draw different drawing pose references and different colours ideas and no one can complain what’s canon or not about them because they are your characters their story is coming to you to be told and drawn about so only you know what’s canon or not about them; no one can tell you off about the design or their personality; it’s your imagination they live in not anyone else so your free to try out any and all story and design ideas with them being as you are their creator
