Fun news! According to @rodjgaming, the Florida Tower boiler room radio now plays the sound loop from DCA/Paris! I’m glad that they added this detail; it seemed like Florida had the setup to have both the radio and the “spooky wall” (although theirs was in the exit area), but didn’t have them running before. Glad at least one has made its Floridian debut*!
*assuming this isn’t a re-debut; there’s limited information about the Tower in its earliest state since it pre-dates easy filming in theme parks
Finally, after all this time, it’s the isolated source audio for the spooky radio in DCA/Paris’ boiler room!
"Childhood is a bastion, until one gets lost in it. Your burgeoning days are thick with the mist of uncertainty. Is what you recall really what occurred? Memory is a labyrinth, a puzzle, a maze. Even the most veteran explorer will get lost within it."
-The Host
The house we moved into has little radio speakers in the rooms to hear the doorbell and radio down to other speakers. Not sure why the previous owner was so into that, but alright.
My family hasn’t used it much since it sounds staticky and hellish. It’s nice when the main doorbell doesn’t work, because even when the radio call is turned off, the doorbell will sound through the thing. The novelty of calling people down for dinner through the worst sounding speaker imaginable when you could just text them wore off quickly. We haven’t used this comm system in like a year, I always forget my speaker is there unless I’m trying to move posters around on my wall and it’s in the way. It’s right above my headboard, so I’m sure to never sleep through a doorbell
Right now it’s 3:29 am. Everyone is asleep. Why did I just hear... ever so faintly... the sound of a mic on the other end turning on..?
Picking names
Well, that was harder than expected since i had so many to choose from. I went with these because they're real names with really dumb-obvious last names. They may turn out to not be their real names! Who knows.
Honorable mentions:
Dale and Carnegie
I was so close to picking these buuuttttt i already did the naming two characters after a celebrity's first and last name. Besides, Carnegie is not a good name for a girl, i don't even know how to pronounce it.
Lee Ghast and Terri Fying
Hee, Terry-fying.
