Since tis is michi day , I thought id tell you how I got into dobuno awa! (Tho michi isnt .. very prevalent lol. Popo is though!) (Plus general dobuno awa yapping(

So, i had started seeing a few of the shorts she put out to promote her music around,,, 2022 or 2023.

Like this one . It was actualy a short of this song( but likely a slightly different and now deleted[unless its on other platforms still] one I think that showed the coffee/tea/idk overflowing scene more i think) that entranced me the most. I saw they were very unpopular like-wise , couldn't see comments* and kinda ignored them at first kinda juding them a bit at first for some reason idk why i did that, but me in a deep sleep and kill me (there used to be a short for it , and the warden who faced death as well! Actualy checking again it seems its still there! *Anywyas i still had more restrictive age restrictions then so I couldn't see the mv's either, so i scrolled through all the auto generated posts of songs and tried to see if the melody and characters of the title (which i knew almost no japanese then) matched up, and ended up liking it alot. Listened to what did have an mv aswell, and on my school computer was able to veiw a few other songs . I would like drawing them alot lol. I remember a lot of them took a while to get their eng subs back then too... anywyas i became a huge fan over time! (Even if my favorites shift to and from other artists sometimez). I have a ton of fanart from middle school sketchbooks . I remember drawing the scenery I saw before I jumped (which i was very attached too and was sad when it and the other few songs disapeared for a bit) and the art of destruction the most. A lot of michi too, mostly cause i was also really into genshin at that time and her and wanderer/scaramouche's hair are real similar.

OMG DOBUNO AWA, opinions on my beloved banri from “the warden who faced death” my favorite

ive been called 2 Dobuno Duty ....

i REALLY like Banri ; i think their relation with Mayoi iz so interezting becauze from her diztorted perzpective u get the senze they suck . but when u think about them from the real world . u rlly do get the senze they were juzt a healthcare worker who waz trying their bezt 2 get an unztable patient under control & got killed 4 it 😭 — thatz suuchh an interezting character idea becauze of the unreliable narrator

i definitely like Mayoi more becauze i have a strong biaz againzt healthcare workerz — ezpecially thoze in the pzychiatric department — & becauze i definitely relate 2 her more . but i can totally see how Banri can become a faverite 🥹

— phyzically . i love hiz color scheme ; i am such a big fan of the color blue & in combination with red & yellow he juzt haz a very soothing look ; i alzo rlly like hiz canon voice . dezpite alzo having a voice claim 4 him

— from a character standpoint [wow there iz so little 2 chooze from] i can appreciate the fact he takez obviouz enjoyment in talking abt time ; he lovez time & u can see it in hiz song . in hiz dezcriptionz juzt how full of wonder he iz when marveling abt theze thingz & that he very obviouzly wantz 2 have some1 share that same interezt

Monika [DDLC] :

— phyzically i love her eyez ; the shade of green she haz iz so piercing but pleazant ... i like the way they shine in the dark clazzroom in act 3 ... tugz @ my shirt collar heh

the 1zt blorbo i found out abt iz Tony — who i dizcovered when i waz like A LONG time ago when i waz a wee lad scrolling yt aimlezzly & watched DHMIS 2 ; obviouzly i didn't realize what that fateful meeting would lead 2 in the future but young spooky waznt rlly affected by it

i found out abt Monika when DDLC initially releazed & animation memez were alzo getting rlly popular ; i liked seeing her being all evil & mizcheviouz in thoze little loopz from like a decade ago hehe

Michi iz a long story ; 1 time i waz looking through a playlizt compiling a lot of Ghost and Pals' songz . in which i found the "Creative" remix uzing Pico & Rana . i really liked the way Rana sounded & wanted 2 look 4 more songz uzing her voicebank . i found a big playlizt with a lot of songz uzing Rana az a vocaloid . 1 of the producerz featured in the playlizt waz Dobuno Awa . i searched her up on yt 2 find out more abt her muzic & after liztening 2 her Rana & Kaai Yuki songz i wanted 2 check out the rezt of her dizcography . i liztened 2 "You will never forget me" once & The Rest Is History
