I see how it can be seen as transphobic BUT I made this post to comment on how people are harassing the artist over something so trivial is ridiculous. She doesnt deserve death threats and harassment for drawing something. Its unnecessary and joining in does not give you any higher road or makes you a “better person.”
Also genderbends are considered opposites. Urban dictionary defines it as, “Genderbending is an internet theme which states that for every fictional character, there exists an opposite gender counterpart.” If you think about it, genderbent Damien would be a transwoman instead? The artist didn't mean to offend people in the first place, yet people want to look for someone to attack. Once again its unnecessary to react in such a way. Its something akin to the whole Symmetra skin color discourse. It was dumb and people shouldn't harass others over what a person draws. If you have a problem then give criticism, DON’T JUMP TO NAME CALLING AND HARASSMENT!
In my opinion, people have no right to tell an artist what they can and cannot make. Even if its aberrant and/or dubious in nature. I do not support any extremist media or any media that follows under these categories. However, I believe in a freedom of expression. And these people have absolutely no right in dictating what can be made. People are crazy online and a lot of them have the power to ruin someones reputation over ridiculous things. Don’t ruin them because you don’t like them, criticize and help them get better.
