The smile on Rosalie’s face is more bitter than pleased, the group of them separating, scattering at the bar so that she can easily begin to walk to the other side of the room while eyeing him in a way that indicates he should follow. It’s by chance that her friends happen to still like Mars so much, to the point of inviting him to things that his ex-girlfriend thankfully had to miss, but it’s not enough to keep them from the scrutiny of others. She feels all together too obvious and not yet obvious enough, she hates herself for how much she wishes she could just be with him. So, naturally, in this semi-public setting, just barely hidden, she decided it was the best place to be honest with him. “I don’t think this is working.” She says, her voice soft as she avoids his eyes, just barely glancing at him for a second to see his reaction.
