Based off that ask about Nia recognizing Clay’s aura, his would be gold because he was the light in her human life, so do mons’ aura look different to certain people? As in, would somebody you look up to have their aura look different to you than if somebody that didn’t know them read their aura?
Kind of!!! I touched on the idea before in this ask. How a character’s aura appears is the same for everyone, but how it’s interpreted is different for each aura reader. Aura readers will often focus on different aspects of someone’s soul, even if they try to remain unbiased.
So while Clay’s aura would always appear gold regardless of who was looking at it, that gold would feel like sunlight, fields of wheat, and sunflowers for someone like Nia, all playful warmth and spirit and “home.” Those are the qualities she would pay the most attention to.
Someone like Soren might read Clay’s aura and interpret his gold as blinding spotlights and Wild Charge recoil, someone who’s a show-off and too reckless. He would be seeing the same soul and qualities Nia is, but the traits he focused on would be different because he’s a very different person with different priorities! Both views are true, but they’d have to consciously look deeper to see past their individual first impressions.
