rco #167 (spooner and royal baby bullshit).
"I wouldn't call it revenge; I would call it justice." There you have it, a perfectly good reason to carry out Grand Theft Auto-esque killing sprees of your own with reckless abandon and no fear of retribution. That's what 76-year-old John Spooner, the murderer of 13-year-old Darius Simmons, was thinking. First, you assume, without any evidence whatsoever, that some dude has stolen your shit, then you walk up to him and cap that bitch with no remorse thereafter. I'm not sure what these Batman-ass motherfuckers have going on in their craniums, but that bullshit needs to stop. At least justice was actually served, unlike in the infamous Zimmerman trial.
...Shit, even Batman ain't killin' niggas. Damn.
Can someone tell me... why the fuck every time I go to click on something (e.g., the "maximize" button on a window), my arm spazzes the 1 micrometer it takes for the mouse pointer to reach the "close window" button?
After spending a good bit of time... with Korean co-workers in the office, one thing became increasingly apparent, meaning my crazy ass had to talk about it.
They've really taken a liking to Major League Baseball, and specifically, the Dodgers.
First of all, it's obvious that none of my Korean co-workers give any shits about the MLB, or most sports for that matter (at least not any outside of Korea-based entities). But they've been tuning in regularly lately. Why?
This guy.
Well, I'm certainly not against a person supporting their favorite team or player -- in fact, I would encourage it -- but it's actually beyond that. They seemingly don't even care if the Dodgers are winning. But they tune in regularly (and just as a reminder, they don't give a fuck about the MLB), and they will watch it over and over just because Ryu Hyun-jin, a Korean, is playing. I also understand that there aren't an awful lot of Koreans playing in the majors, but it's not the first time a Korean has played in the MLB. It's not necessarily a negative thing, but it's bizarre to be sure.
I'm not British or part of any Commonwealth nation, in case my spelling and syntax didn't make that readily apparent.
That said, what is now readily apparent is the fact that I don't give a fuck about the royal baby, and nor should you, unless you are somehow involved in royal engagements. I'd love to congratulate Prince William and Duchess Kate for delivering a healthy baby boy, but that is the limit of my concern: there is way, way too much pomp and anticipation surrounding the royal birth (there is a live blog solely dedicated to giving up-to-the-minute updates on the birth ... and even betting). I hope that they disappoint all the wagerers and bookmakers by picking one of those weird-ass names that no one can predict. [EDIT: The baby's name is (unremarkably) George Alexander Louis.]
To take things further, there are people camped outside of Buckingham Palace just to hear the announcement of the sex of the baby. Honestly, if you wanna be that keen on royal matters, just turn on your "telly" and find out there (and hope you don't get your face sucked off like in the Doctor Who episode). You are effectively royal groupies. Besides, guess what? Absolute fuckloads of women around the world give birth by the minute, if not by the second. The kid barely has cognitive function; he (yes, it's a boy, in case you weren't following) won't be making any sort of administrative decisions anytime soon. Live your lives, people.
