Hot take: Aratula is just Arafef, but scourge flavoured.

Hear me out.

Arafef (Aradia x Feferi) is a ship where the two girls who haven't met/met only once are in a relationship with each other. Its so adorable. Some could make the argument that they bonded over having Sollux as their past partner.

Aratula (Aranea x Latula) is the same. Tho only difference could be that they bond over Porrim, somebody they had a fling with during the game, and that it fits with the scourge theme of Serkets and Pyropes. One thing that I am unsure is if the two even met.

So basically

Both probably never met

Had one person to bond over dating

Fandom typically portrays them as cute
