Early Spotify users will soon have to pay to keep their privileges.
Spotify users will soon hit six months of signing up to the service, since July 14th, 2011 was the date that Spotify was open to the public in the U.S. But these are not good news since users will have to pay monthly fees in order to keep the same privileges. If a user does not pay those fees, they will have limitations, such as being able to listen to only 10 hours of music per month and only being able to listen to a particular song 5 times during the same time period.
The company said in its terms of service that user would be to listen to unlimited amounts of music only for the first six months after signing up, when they first came to the U.S. And don't feel discriminated because Europe has the exact same restrictions. The monthly plans go like this: $4.99 for unlimited streaming and $9.99 for higher audio quality and the mobile app.
So, are you gonna pay these fees, deal with the restrictions, or perhaps leave Spotify for good?
