Little Nutmeg has been going through something that is not pleasant for either of us: litter box aversion. Because of her previous severe constipation, she has begun to associate the litter box with pain and refuses to use it. She will instead pee and poop right outside the box on the ground. I have five different litter boxes of all shapes and sizes around the foster room. I’m switching their clay litter out with litter made of newspaper.
