Spreading Thin
The juggling act! The problem with many projects occurring at once: the worry that you slight one in favoring another. Always a risk. And damn does it keep you on the toes. The consequence is the feeling of slow progress--which often strikes as frustration and the act of pleading with yourself for patience. I love the projects I pursue, and I feel they’re all worth the time needed to do them justice. The coming week carries much activity--interview for Exploring a Glimpse, shooting a few scenes for this as well, dog portrait photography (like candy to the ears right? - it’s a long story), running overdubs for the Baker’s Basements next single entitled “Buck”, practice practice practice, and hoping to finish a drawing promised to a friend as his wedding present long ago (speaking of getting my priorities straight). And! Will continue to nurture my photographic ability as a whole. Study! I guess working projects that require photographic ability will force you to learn fast. The film we’re making, for example.. Could fuck it up, but my worrisome ways will hopefully render it only slightly sloppy but wholly heartfelt--a beautiful work at the hands of amateurs. Honestly though-- Kate and I really feel what has been shared with us by so many people across the states in the last year is beautiful. We’re doing all we can to paint it as such. Here’s to the ever evolving effort to gracefully unify passion and time management skills. I want to go about my days with a certain eagerness and swiftness of step--a healthy sense of mission rather than the constant worry. Than again, I suppose a healthy dose of worry is what keeps me on top of deadlines and schedules. As for potential tangents about time management and things that keep you worried. Well - remember Brevity! let’s talk later.
