Soaring Tortoise - The Spring Cathedral
"... is a 100% recycled material solid state spring reverb unit with controls for Reverb Output Level (located on the side of the unit), Reverb Input Volume (top), and Input Gain or "Splash" (top) as we like to call it. The Input Gain features a pull/push pot which, when pulled up, cancels the dry through signal offering a wet only setting where you only hear the output of the reverb tank with no dry signal added. Power is provided by a single 9 Volt battery though, the unit will operate from about 7-18 volts DC if you should choose to use a power adapter. The silly little legs are removable but do provide enough space to mitigate most of the noise associated with placing a spring reverb unit directly on top of an amp. The unit uses a vintage 1960's Hammond 4-spring tank and has a scratch built 5 transistor circuit. The enclosure is made from old 3/4" barn board with the back panel sourced from a Kenwood dual well cassette tape deck. The input and output jacks are NOS mil-spec items from a Navy jack box."
