Bubble Sisters - “벚꽃비행” (“Spring Flight”) [audio]

I had NO IDEA they were still around. FYI, this group was around roughly at the same time that Big Mama was, so they were part of this trend of “not conventionally pretty” (re: “ugly” to Koreans) but talented group. The unfortunate thing was that Bubble Sisters tried the comical route...and went with blackface. They are talented, but this song was stupid too cuz it’s about, like, praying for better looks...for a guy, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, so I was like, “THEY’RE STILL AROUND???” and listened to their new song. It’s not bad, but the chorus sounds...a bit rough? The song calls for softer voices, I think. I’m not saying she’s a bad singer, but this song is more wistful...meh.

(I guess i want to start again, as I follow the cherry blossom roads, the pink light, the scent. Because it’s spring, and because I’m feeling sentimental, I guess my heart’s like this all day long....)
