The magic Mathias woke up with that morning was nothing like that magic he usually had. Instead on what he would call a dark cloud hanging over him, it felt like warm sun beams. He could tell right away that there wasn’t an ounce of dark magic within him now. He reached out to one of the plants he had in his apartment, and touched it. When he did, the plant sprang to life, and appeared to be as healthy as it could be. That was when Mathias full realized what he had and what he could do with it.
Hours later, he had moved everything out of the middle of his apartment, and drew a sigil on the floor, placing the vial of Heinrich’s blood in the middle. The witch had no idea what he was doing, but he had to try. He knew Heinrich didn’t want to be brought back, but there was a golden opportunity now. Using the life magic was hard though, and Mathias was exhausting himself as he kept trying.
He heard his apartment door open as he failed at yet another spell, leaving him winded and blood dripping out of his nose. He turned his head to see Seth there, with wings, and frowned, “What are you doing here?”
