Happy Monday, Chinatown fam! 🌟
🏮 This Week in Chinatown: Neon Nights & Noodle Chews
Happy Monday, Chinatown fam. 🧧✨
We’re officially moving into AAPI Heritage Month, and the energy on Spring Mountain is hitting a fever pitch. If you’ve been following the corridor’s evolution, this week feels like a tipping point.
The Highlights:
📺 As Seen on TV: Big love to KROK Thai and Zen Spa & Massage for the local features last week. Seeing our neighborhood spots get that FOX5 and 8 News Now spotlight is a win for the whole community.
🎥 The New Era: Tomorrow is the big one. We’re dropping Episode 0 of our brand-new video series. If the written word is the soul of this place, these videos are the heartbeat. Stay tuned.
🍜 Texture Heaven: If "QQ" isn’t in your culinary vocabulary yet, the Clay Pot Potato Noodles at Xiang Wei Xuan will fix that. Bouncy, chewy, and served in a piping hot clay pot.
🎸 The Soundtrack: The Sand Dollar Lounge is keeping the 40-year legacy alive. We’re looking forward to The King James Brown Band on Friday night. No cover, just funk.
🌡️ The Desert Heat: We’re looking at 103°F today. Our advice? Wait for the sun to go down. Chinatown hits different when the neon is glowing and the air starts to cool. It’s prime time for midnight boba runs and late-night karaoke.
The Shopping List: Stocking the pantry? 99 Ranch has Rainier Cherries for $8.99/lb and 168 Market has 15lb bags of Nishiki for $13.99. 🛒
Check out the full Monday issue for the weather breakdown, the infrastructure updates (yes, we’re still talking about those potholes), and the "speakeasy" rumors surrounding the new Tous Les Jours flagship.

The Pho So 1 closing is official. After our November report on repairs, the 31-year Chinatown staple confirms it won't reopen. Get the full story and next steps.
🍜 An End of an Era in Chinatown Las Vegas 🍜
After 31 years on Spring Mountain Road, Pho So 1 has officially closed its doors.
For decades, Pho So 1 wasn’t just a restaurant — it was a rite of passage. Late-night bowls after long shifts, first pho experiences, family dinners, post-karaoke comfort food… it was woven into the everyday life of Las Vegas’ Chinatown.
What many had hoped would be a temporary closure for repairs has now been confirmed as permanent. The lights are off, the tables are empty, and another longtime Chinatown landmark has quietly stepped into history.
The owners shared that this may not be the end forever — just the end of this chapter.
