Spring 10x10 outfits

I’m going to break down my #spring10x10 outfits (with links) here today, and follow up tomorrow with a recap of how each of them worked IRL, and what I learned from the challenge overall.  You know, basically a feeling explosion about this.  Update:  Here’s my recap!

Spring 10 x 10 Remix

I’m pretty excited to be joining in with Lee and Caroline’s Spring 10 x 10 experiment, and I especially love that it’s still pretty early in the season, so I still have a fair number of pieces in my wardrobe I haven’t really played with yet.  If you’re not familiar with a 10 x 10, the idea is that you pick 10 items of clothing to wear for 10 days, or 10 outfits (athletic gear and accessories not included).  If you want to check out my previous 10 x 10s, you can here.  

The go-round, I picked my 10 pieces based on 2 main categories:  easy things (no-brainer items I knew I would love wearing, ie: Birks, white jeans, white tee); and challenging things (items that haven’t been in regular rotation in a bit that I’m not 100% sure how to wear anymore, ie: white button-up, navy high tops, silk top).  I think there’s enough balance in there that I’ll be able to get outside of my comfort zone without being super hard on myself.

I’m expecting some pretty mild weather in the 60s and 70s, and because I won’t always necessarily have to have outerwear, I’m including jackets an “accessories” rather than in my 10 pieces.  My bank of other accessories is fairly minimal, but I know this exercise always stretches me to differentiate outfits with all the tools I have.
