Spring Break LEWKS
Spring break is around the corner and I, like everyone I suppose, am EXCITED!! I have been thinking about what I wanted to wear for months, but like any college student I am on a TIGHT budget. What I know for SURE is that this spring break will be a body positive crusade. I wasn’t comfortable with wearing crop tops until last summer, and shorts until the end of said summer. I can’t wait to keep pushing my own personal boundaries when it comes to clothing. And spring break is the first time to try that.
Looks I’m Coveting:
When I think of spring break, I think neon’s, patterns, matching sets, flirty hemlines. I am a bargain shopper, and plan to hit up thrift stores first to see if they have anything fun and unique. Thrift stores are good for fun accessories, tiny purses (a huge trend), and maybe even a few summery clothing pieces. Then the next stop is online sites that carry more trendy plus size clothing. A few of the sites I’ve been perusing for outfits are Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Fashion Nova, and Boohoo. I have been checking their online options for the last month or so to find the choices I am really loving and narrowing down complete looks. I have found a few outfits on these sights that I am choosing to use as inspiration when I am out thrift shopping, or even pieces I may end up purchasing. Let’s start shopping!
Outfit 1: Bathing Suit

If this bathing suit isn’t bright!! When I think of beach wear, I think colors that pop, and this pink does. The top is wide enough, and the briefs are high enough that I would still feel comfortable wearing it. I was thinking that it would pair nicely with gold jewelry and a pair of dark wash high waisted shorts.
Outfit 2: Going Out Look

I had been wanting to try an animal print for a while, and I think that spring break is the perfect opportunity. I had already purchased a dress like this a few months ago, from a different website, but this one is pretty close. The hemline is easy to work with and the silky material makes the piece even more fun. I thought this would pair nicely with gold jewelry and a pair of black strappy heels.
Outfit 3: Sightseeing, but make it cute:

My dream in life is to own the perfect matching set. Have I found one? No. Will I look until the end of time? YES. Although this matching set isn’t perfect, it kind of works with the idea that is in my head. I would pair the set with white chunky sneakers, since this is an all-day look.
