Today, I received my first autograph from an NHL player who has never played for the Penguins LOL. Danny Briere played hockey in my hometown when I was a kid - I saw him when I went to my first ever Springfield Falcons game, and he's a big part of why I originally fell in love with hockey. Hockey and I broke up for a while when I was a teenager for reasons that had nothing to actually do with hockey as a sport, and it was Malkin who made me fall in love with it the second time around, but Danny was my first favorite player, so this was a wonderful shiny in my mailbox. 🥲 Do wish I could have seen his reaction to the Falcons picture though. It was NOT easy to find one that could be reasonably enlarged to 8x10! 😂
