Happy end of May! It's almost summer and we hope you're well! Thank you for all the support these past few weeks. Paper merch is almost finished in production and Mixam has sent physical proof of the finished Zine booklet and we should have it sometime this week! As for the final polling, it was a close one with the winning result only winning by 1 vote! Thank you all for participating in the event. Any updates we have we shall inform you right away!

How did you find Dad for one and why do you enjoy it?

I found it like many fans, through mha fan theories online as well as in fanfics. I think it was back in April of 2020? I was interested in mha for awhile but hadn't become really interested until then. I also discovered DFO fics like Conversations and Anyone and that just led me down the rabbit hole of dad for one.

What's your favorite Dad for One trope and why?

My favorite trope is the Luke, I am your Father-esque reveal. If DFO happens I really want to see how it impacts Izuku. I imagine it wouldn't be long because Shounen manga, but seeing the scene would be quite fun.

Do you have any advice on being a financial/head mod?

It's okay to mess up. I know I've done it plenty. Talk to others. There's a lot of discords with fanzine mods that give advice and help out. Google is your friend. Be practical. Zines can be costly. Stick to mostly paper-made products with a few more expensive stuff thrown in. Also, talk to manufacturers for information about shipping time and costs.

Welcome to our Spring Event!

As we wait to ship the zine and merch, we decided a fun event might help pass the time as well to make shipment updates fun! Our team is looking at a late spring or early summer when pre-orders will be prepared to be shipped out! Worry not! We shall get you exact dates and information as we get closer to finishing production of all ducky goodies.

How did you find Dad for one and why do you enjoy it?

Horikoshi's a westaboo through and through. It's really entertaining so I wondered if he'd actually fo through with it or not. It's very funny, and playing about with the usual missing parent trope in shounen battle manga. Not enough shounen battle manga go hard into it unless they're being meta or self referenital in it. Just being merely related by bloodline or something more distant always feels like a cop out. Plus the way Shigaraki is, and has been is really interesting so the.

Plus, I love AfO and Ujiko! Two old codgers who adopted 2 children, and 2 dogs (Johnny and Mocha are cute!), raised a pretty cool family! And Johnny and Mocha were more heroic than whatever Cremation turned out to be! (And if Deku is AfO's son, then he';s knocked out 3 for 3.)

What's your favorite Dad for One trope and why?

P A R A L L E L S The one small thing BNHA is good at is really nailing the mirroring of characters, or their situations. The Difference between Shigaraki and Deku, the failure of All Might and the 2nd/3rd Users and the likes of Deku, The difference in the Torodoki family and the Deku orbital.

Do you have any advice on being a graphics mod?

Don't think you need fancy adobe programs or anything to be able to make graphics or formatting. I format the fics in google docs sometimes instead of arguing with ID or Acrobat. Photopea.com is a easy photoshop clone in your browser which I always us when having to make image adjustments when I have after effects open, since it's more light weight. It even supports CMYK!!!

How did you find Dad for one and why do you enjoy it?

I thought All for One was a very interesting villain and decided to roam Tumblr and AO3. I was very surprised to stumble on a (very convincing) collection post comparing information about AFO and Hisashi Midoriya. I loved the idea of a hero-villain family, and I've been hooked ever since.

What's your favorite Dad for One trope and why?

My favorite trope would have to be AFO taking little Izuku's quirk to keep him from being a hero. It's a wonderful parallel to the First user.

Do you have any advice on being an art mod?

Being familiar with with any digital art program and color models is a great way to be prepared as an art mod. If you know how to use it and what to look for, you can make sure everyone is on the same page.
