Beach Dwellers’ Trip Home
I. Forty-five in a forty zone. Passenger holds an invisible bottle of rum out the window; her fingers claw against the wind.
Music has the driver tapping music of his own on the steering wheel cover.
Sunshine filters in through the narrow sunroof.
II. Forty-five slows to twenty. Laughter accompanies slow crawl around the ramp. The curve guides traffic into smaller lanes;
the scenic route—wildflowers blooming early, open fields, salty air—provides the backdrop to vacation.
III. Spring provides heat in small doses. Twenty increases to thirty-seven in a thirty-five.
Passenger’s hand opens wide, slaps the air. She’s sunflowers and tulip blossoms; sand dollar dreams swim in her eyes.
Just a few more miles.

Okay, so, I'm going to get a big forge and start crafting swords. Dad and I managed to find an anvil, so I'll be blacksmithing in the spring. Any ideas on what I should make?
