Indulge in the flavors of spring with this creamy asparagus pasta. The tender asparagus pairs perfectly with the rich and cheesy sauce, making it a delightful dish to enjoy during the spring season.
Ingredients: 8 oz pasta. 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tbsp butter. 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. 1 cup milk. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta. Remove the water and set it aside. Melt the butter in a big pan over medium-low heat. For about one minute, until the garlic smells good, add the minced garlic. Add the flour to the butter and garlic mix. To cook the flour, stir it all the time for one to two minutes. As you whisk in the milk, make sure it's smooth. Keep stirring the sauce for about three to four minutes, or until it gets thicker. Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix it in until it melts and is smooth. Put the asparagus pieces in the sauce and cook for two to three minutes, until they are soft but still have some crunch. Add salt and pepper to taste to the sauce. Put the cooked pasta in the pan with the asparagus and sauce. Toss until everything is covered. Add fresh parsley to the top of the hot, creamy asparagus pasta before serving. Have fun!
