When Pearl finally managed to convince her over-protecting parents that life in their family vacation home in Sulani would neither kill nor harm her, she quickly settled in a slow and easy beach life. 

Before she knew it, she had fallen in love with Lupin and it didn’t take long until she was pregnant and gave birth to a set of mixed twins. When Lupin started getting abusive she decided to leave him but before she got away he had instead left her, taking their twins with him. 

Oleander was set to lead the search for the two kids and after two years of searching, he managed to bring her children back - though without actually catching Lupin. During the process he was a massive support for her, and despite trying not to, she fell in love with him. It was a slow start, but eventually they got together and had three kids of their own.

Even though Tiger Lily was technically a single kid, she still felt like she lived in the shadow of her adoptive sister Midnight due to her illness. During her childhood, her parents were constantly in and out of the hospital with her sister and she was left much to herself. It’s really strange how forgotten a child can be - even when they are longed for and loved. By the time she turned 18 her younger sister had become so ill that she had to have a personal assistant to relieve their parents. That’s when Mustard pretty much moved in with them. By that time he was young, full of hope and happiness and Tiger Lily who was just a few years younger than him and who had lived her entire life in the darkness surrounding Midnight’s disease fell instantly. 

When Midnight eventually passed awawy, Tiger Lily and Mustard comforted each other and as the weeks and months passed by they were soon an official couple. It was their love, as well as her own painting that got her through the inital grief of losing a sister. But it was the loss of her sister that made her painting career really take off. Yet, no matter all the good things that happened in her life - she would gladly switch it all to get her sister back.

Tiger Lily and Mustard had four children of their own: Canary, Pumpkin, Cinnamon and Sundance.

Champagne found the world outside her own bedroom overwhelming and until she met Rust at secondary school she rarely left the house other than to attend school. But Rust was different to everyone else, he understood her and when he showed her yoga and weight lifting she was sold. If she could tune her body by working out, she would be able to defend herself. She got lost in the world of work-outs and when Rust told her to be careful she failed to listen. Soon she had forgotten about anything other than tuning her body into perfection and while people around her saw that she was losing herself in training, she just craved more. Nothing else mattered for many years.

It was Rust who managed to get to her to listen eventually. He, who had first showed her the way into training now dragged her out of it as well. Champagne healed through painting and though it took many years, she was finally well enough to think about family and Tiger Lily was born. A few years later she and Rust decided to also adopt Midnight, a little girl who had been abandonded by her family when they discovered her lung cancer.

Life in the Sprinkle family was hectic with five kids and the threat of a long-gone father who might come back for his twins. Primrose knew her mother had loved them all, but the fear of her older siblings’ father had made life difficult for them. Primrose tried her best to stay out of sight and getting some peace and quiet in the company of her books and notebooks. It was easy writing stories when your own family and life was so full of drama and worry. Had it not been for the publishing agency over in Britechester actually responding to her drafts with an invitation she probably would have been happy just to stay where she was. But with an opportunity she couldn’t just let slip she went off. And that’s when she met Almond. 

It wasn’t love at first sight, it was a grind. But eventually the two became a couple and Almond moved back to Newcrust together with her and as the years passed their family grew. In the end, the lone aspiring writer had been blessed with a warm lovelife and four children of her own. Who would have guessed?
