One Beat
As my palm warmed the curve of her neck softly to bind our souls in a gentle space As if taking my last breath would be enough before our lips connect again. A language of the soul, unspoken, understood As if beauty, contentment and redemption all in one. Something I dreamt over, a moment written in the universe. Before it ever happened. A connection beyond me or her control. Powerful enough to shed the world's cold shell, Her energy, a wildfire in my soul I would travel lifetimes for just one more moment. Maybe we have, and that is why it is so powerful. Imagine thousands of years, just to feel real love again. All the energy in the universe compiled into that moment. Only for our lips to be the conduit as our hearts sync.
What My Arms Can Hold
The world pours out its endless grace, Abundance flows in time and space. With open hands, I greet the day— A sunlit warmth, a soft embrace.
Life’s open palm forever teaches, Freedom within is the key that reaches. A gift of dawn, a whispered start, A grateful echo in my heart.
A golden beam, a petal’s hue, A breeze that whispers something new. The sky, the earth, both freely give— Their quiet wonders help me live.
For petals soft in colors bright, For gentle rain in fading light, For kindred souls and furry friends— Life’s boundless love that never ends.
I breathe in rain, I taste the air, And find life’s beauty everywhere. No arms could hold this world so wide— Its grace flows in like ocean’s tide.
My arms too small to hold it all, Yet in each gift, I stand up tall. No need to chase a fleeting dream— I’ll cherish now the flowing stream.
Contentment blooms in what I hold, A story whispered, soft and bold. A quiet "thank you" drifts with ease, On winds that dance through grass and trees.
The generous world within my heart, Gives simple joys, a work of art. For light, for love, for life’s sweet way, I hold the blessings of today.
Something To Write About
Sometimes, I just write the first thing that comes to mind, Threading the needle through pen and paper's fragile lines. I feel like others around me don't really write anymore, As if my words are lost to autocorrect, and grammar's cold design.
I guess it's too much to ask for a human voice these days, For eyes that read the soul, not just screens in digital haze, To hear the subtle tremor in a whispered plea, Or feel the warmth of presence, wild and free, A genuine connection, Seems to be fading to a past time. ….something to write about….
Equal Ground
No words can measure a heart in pain, Nor judge the tears that strain that fall like rain. In rooms of hope, no walls divide— Just broken souls with truth as guide.
No voice too quiet, no past too loud, We stand as one—both lost and found. No better, no worse—just hearts laid bare, In healing light, we learn to care.
A hand reached out breaks chains unseen, Through the darkest night pain gleams, our souls redeem. Together we walk, no higher, no less— Bound by our truth, we heal and confess.
For here, we’re equal—no masks, no shame, Just seekers of freedom from sorrow and blame. In shared hope’s warmth, our hearts align— Your pain is mine, and mine is thine.
