I'm really nervous about going back to school. it was my first year last year and i lasted like a term and a half, missing so much school i had to be eschooled and i hated it and i dontttt wanna do it again. Any tips on how to be less anxious? 🌱

Hello sprout! I remember you. I was very anxious about going back to school last year and it was so scary walking into the building and I must say it really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I promise.

There are lots of anxiety master posts so I’ll reblog a few for them but some I use are:

1. tapping your wrists together or tapping just under your eyes. (I don’t remember how this works but it does make you feel less anxious)

2. Listen to some music! Find headphones and some songs you love.

3. Look for people or sights to distract you from things.

4. Daydream on the bus, I do this all the time and its really nice and calming. (If you don’t take a bus then day dream between classes or something)

5. Tell yourself you are ok. I promise you’ll be ok. I really do.

Good luck! I hope you go well and if you don’t thats ok too, not everything in life is easy and thats ok. You just gotta do it and try your best, if you do that then theres no reason to feel ashamed.
