So little known fact: I'm a huge anime figure collector (or I was before the economy decided to repeatedly kick me in the ribs) and I finally after years got a figure I pre-ordered during the height of lockdown. I haven't fully opened it yet but this box is HUGE.

I'm deeply excited.

Wait, you're from Texas? One of my maternal uncles, his wife and his two daughters live in the Arlington area, they originally lived in Oklahoma though where his wife grew up.

I've sadly never been out that way, I'm from central West Virginia and haven't been able to get out much. Other than hot, dry and largely republican, what's the big state like?

It's.. well I mean it's all those things you said, sooooo not great. But I'm alive thus far and it's fine. If I could find work and fair pay elsewhere/not completely uproot myself from my support system and community (aka the roving packs of queers huddling together for warmth)/actually save up the money to do so, I'd probably try to move out of state or at least to Austin. But everywhere else I wanna be is either outrageously expensive or isolated, so here I sit.

Lol there was a post that said people can only know who I am through bits of information gleaned through my posts or if I tell them directly and damn if that ain't the truth.
