lying on the wide expanse of a giant's chest, feeling the firmness of their sternum as it gently raises and lowers with each deep breath, bringing you along with the cyclical motion. even them breathing is able to sweep you along - but instead of this being disquieting, you are comforted by how completely surrounded you are by someone who cares for you. the even, slow thumping of their heartbeat beneath you eventually lulls you to your own slumber.
facing a giant as you lay side by side, only the broad sweep of their shoulders and torso visible to you as they fall deeper into sleep. you're held in the soft plush of a down pillow, their deep breaths wash over you gently, like the tide.
a giant asking "can I hold you?", their voice rumbling as they struggle to keep their eyes open - always willing to you space if you need it. you take a second, taking in their soft expression, before nodding. slowly, like always, they raise their hand towards your body, before the gentle pressure from their fingers envelops you from your shoulders down to your legs. they smile softly as you wrap an arm around their thumb. as your surrounded by their warm, stable presence, you begin to grow heavier and slip into an effortless slumber, knowing you are in the safest place you can be.
unintentionally falling asleep because you feel so secure, relaxed against the slope of a giant's neck, the steady beat of their pulse making it harder and harder for you to stay conscious. the last thing you feel is the slightest movement of their shoulders, chuckling as they realize what's happening but not daring to disturb your rest. they make sure to keep as still as they can till you wake to the world.

Hi! I'm going to introduce some of my friends to solarpunk over the next few days, hopefully setting up a network of some kind (for these upcoming years especially). I'm still a sprout myself though, so I was hoping you could direct me towards some good starting points? Both explanations of what solarpunk is and some resources/theory reading. Anything works! Books, articles, posts, or whatever else. Thanks!

I think going through the Sprout Guide and Ref tag will do a lot for references and resources and theories.
If you want an easy explanation of Solarpunk I couldn't recommend Andrewisms video on the movement enough. He alone is such a good resource to pull from both in inspiration and in works to follow up with.
I also have a pretty extensive and long Playlist of Solarpunk things, ranging from starting up Eco-villages and urban designs and tech (like cold weather earth ships) to video essays on finding joy again.
Remember while educating others to also care for yourself! Your growing along side your friends. Good luck!

Ngl I wish the Dandy's World fandom on twitter especially would chill out in regards to shipping a little bit. I know I've been pretty dead on tumblr in general but I've been dead especially on this blog because a lot of my art is ship art, particularly selfship art represented by a really popular ship and I'm actually really scared of posting about it since its one of the popular ships I often see people getting attacked for, and I've already been attacked in the past for one of my selfships because it made it a little too obvious that I personally don't ship Shelly and Vee (oc I ship Shelly with is Vee's sister) Like the fact I'm scared of enjoying something everywhere just because of the behavior of people in two places is honestly just eugh.
Like we as a fandom REALLY need to learn how to be capable of shipping discussions that are more of "I personally don't ship it but I understand the appeal" instead of the "EW YOU LIKE A THING I DON'T? IM GONNA SEND DEATH THREATS!" bs I've seen so much over on other platforms
