SPRY - The Glass Between Your Toes
You are too cruel, for a man with so much to loose. I owe you nothing, no more of my time. I have not struggled, not a blemish on my skin. Yet the flowers are wilting, no vase to put them in. I lost faith in your pain, Unable to follow your games. I let you lead for a change, now we are lost, and you are to blame. Oh life folds out, a book without a spine. A detective with nothing to find, a murder without the crime. Watch the glass between your toes, for the cut will bleed. There is no bandage in the world, that can heal me. I cut a link in your chain, and replaced it with a name. It’s not a person that you knew, but a person all the same. I stole my ambitions from you. Unable to follow them through. I’m lost in this dust left by you, And now I am blind, and I wish you were too. Oh life folds out, a book without a spine. A detective with nothing to find, a murder with the crime.
