The union explained in its Facebook post, that the decision is a gesture of thanks towards its members, "En guise de remerciement, nous avions annoncé que le syndicat SPSICR-CUSM avait décidé de suspendre les cotisations syndicales pour deux périodes de paie." The union also announced in the same Facebook post, that this year, more than ever, the annual May festival with its members is essential, "but the pandemic crisis does not allow us to meet." "Cette année, plus que jamais, nous aurions toutes besoin de cette pause, de cette féte, mais la crise de la pandemie ne nous permet pas de nous réunir," wrote the SPSICR-CUSM on Facebook.
