                     it  takes  everything  in  lorelai  to  not  give  in  to  her  natural  instincts  and  push  him  away  from  her.  his  closeness  was  something  she  allowed  herself  to  get  used  to  one  day  at  a  time.  egon  had  managed  to  secure  a  special  place  in  her  soul,  a  feat  no  one  had  ever  succeeded  in  before.  her  breath  hitches  as  his  lips  connect  with  the  tender  skin  of  her  cheek,  his  neck  brushing  against  her  own.  goosebumps  made  their  way  all  over  her  body,  heartbeat  picking  up  as  she  allowed  herself  to  finally  breathe.  “  what  was  that  for?  ”

                  it’s  almost  as  if  time  stops  in  that  very  moment.  as  if  her  breathing  has  halted,  beating  hearts  lulled  to  a  standstill.  but  it  never  quite  works  that  way,  does  it?  her  breaths  are  shaky  as  she  walks  over  to  egon,  expression  softening  before  her  gaze  returns  to  their  adversaries.  “  i  didn’t  know  you  thought  that  way  about  me.  ”  her  voice  is  soft,  too  soft.  the  mushiness  of  the  moment  almost  makes  her  feel  unwell.  almost.  “  but  he’s  right,  you  know.  you  should  be  scared.  after  all,  you’ve  never  faced  someone  like  me  before.  i’d  start  running  now  if  i  was  you  ---  don’t  wanna  piss  me  off  too  much.  they  say  patience  is  a  virtue,  but  i’m  more  of  a  vice  kind  of  girl.  ”
