The Spy Tower, Fagley, West Yorkshire
Early in the 19th century Benjamin Farrer built a tower close to his home in Fagley, then a village on the edge of Bradford. Teufelsberg Spy Tower
Snuck in through a small hole in the fence. Had to convince the rest of the squad to come through. Thank god for that because we got to explore this park pretty much to ourselves. This was right around the time corona restrictions were beginning to be put in place. The park was still open, but it cost 5 euros and we were broke!
Charlotte Hope Bradley and Celeste all conquered the hole and we explore the place. We got so many sights in and had collective creepy moments inside the dark tunnels and hallways. One of my favorite days. One of the last days before Charlotte and Hope fled home. Celeste would follow shortly after. Our friends were dropping like flies. It made me and Bradley question our decision to stay. We eventually got past those thoughts but with all our close friends out of our reach I began to feel isolated in a different way.
Held onto this Teufelsberg Graffiti day to remind me of the treasures and rewards Berlin has to offer if you take risks to jump through the hole in a fence.
