Watch and Ward 1, 42, 48

1- what do you think is the appeal of their dynamic? They're hyper competent but also dragging their feet because they don't want to do more work. They're prank calling customers because they know it won't get them in trouble. They finish each others sentences without even thinking. They're those besties that are so close that you can't tell whether they're dating or not. If you ask them they'll pretend to throw up but you swear to god you once saw them making out sloppy style in a dark corner of The Guild. They will deny it forever. They're super annoying to everyone (including each other) but they're the only ones who can put up with their nonsense. They are drowning in 100 layers of irony and will never admit they are more than friends because that would be cringe. Something is wrong with them and its fascinating.

42- how intensely are you consumed by this ship, from casual to way past the point of help? I uhhhh.... I think I was genuinely cursed. That is how into this ship I am.

48- where does their relationship mostly exist: in public or in private? 100% private. In public they are just uncomfortably close friends who have 0 boundaries with each other and treat everyone like they're stupid for being weird about it. In private they MIGHT be able to drop the facade just a little bit.

This is a "Hear me out" type post and i'm sorry for the Yuri/PeteBilly juicebox I'm on right now...

What if I told you all my insane theory (it's more of a thought process) of why Pete ran up and hit Jonas Venture Sr. with the axe was actually to protect Billy??? The more I thought about it the more I'm like -- okay what if Pete getting knocked out made her have a weird vision of the place being shot into space or something and made her have war flashbacks to almost losing Billy during "All That And Gargantua 2"?

LIKE...Pete has almost lost Billy multiple times due to this crazy bullshit. So here she is trying to prove herself and I'm actually all for "okay what if Pete hacking into the computer was actually supposed to be our conclusion but Pete got stopped???" (we can't Pete White be the hero cause then PeteBilly would absolutely be canon when Billy kisses her in front of god and everyone).

I mean PETE WAS WILLING TO GIVE UP $10 MILLION+ DOLLARS TO GET BILLY BACK IN "SILENT PARTNERS". And later Billy carried Pete ON HER BACK IN THE BAKING HEAT during "Spanakopita".

I honestly don't think it's that far fetched that the conclusion Pete White came to was: "I can't lose her again and I might as well sacrifice myself in the process to stop it from happening" and runs out -- not protecting anyone else, not even herself, but with the intention of protecting Billy, and takes an axe to this mysterious computer Jonas Venture Sr haunted mess thing.

Love makes you do crazy af things. Including not like 25 minutes later Pete (who was just flung from the top of an escalator) trying to prove herself again and use the shrink ray.

I think Season 7 could have been so much better with more PeteBilly centered things because THIS NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT.
