Yeah, it was just a small tap. Scratch or two at best. Real problem is that I left my wallet at home and somehow, all my paperwork wasn't up to date. You believe that?
But as of now, no tickets. Cop is letting me submit all that stuff to the station tomorrow.

SO true! I was surprised by how crude the fighting technique was for a lot of it. I guess, when the world’s basically ending, they don’t care what’s broken, but still. Guns would make way more sense, not just the plasma cannon thing!
That's why Striker was my favorite because it had MISSILES in its chest. But that wasn't used a whole lot, much like Gypsy Danger's plasma cannon. I mean, I understand the Kaiju are resilient, but projectile rounds would at least soften them up before you run over to them and start beating the shit out of them. XD

I honestly don’t know what the sequel is going to be about, but I’m hoping more about the technology of the Jaegers and perhaps more about the Kaiju. I agree that it moved way too fast (and there was soooo room for more action).
Yes. I agree. If they make another one, I hope Jaeger tech jumps ahead...like guns. I want them to have guns, okay? I know I'm biased because of years of Gundam and Macross, but the current strategy of "get mad close and punch the Kaiju to death" isn't very tactically sound! Especially when they're close to densely-populated areas! :O

See, I really, really, REALLY enjoyed it, but in an 8.5/10 way. Like, I really hope more is done in the sequel, because there’s a lot more they could do (but that probably wouldn’t have fit into just one film).

See, it's interesting you say that, because I think this would've been better if it was two movies. Fuck trilogies, two would've been enough. You'd have one movie about the Jaeger pilots gaining ground against the Kaiju whilst suffering some losses. And then you'd have the second chapter devoted mostly to understanding the enemy before ultimately destroying it.
This way, you better develop the characters AS WELL as the Kaiju.
As it was, the plot was paper thin, it moved way too fucking fast and was resolved just as swiftly, there was way too much telling over showing, and the Jaegers weren't even that cool.
Now, I think Guillermo Del Toro is an incredible, visionary director. But this wasn't Pan's Labyrinth. It wasn't even Hellboy.
