with a passive shrug, he peers to the side of her. it’s times like this squall ALMOST wishes he inherited some emotional know-how. ( this really isn’t my strong suit ... ) it takes him a moment, lips curved into something thoughtful & demeanour characteristically unreadable. no minor slip-up is going to frustrate him into saying anything else. “ of course we are. ”
