Pony Prom.
Lightning was excited about the prom. He had no intention originally of attending but escorting one of his best friend’s sister sounded fun. Arriving to escort her to the prom he spoke with Squall who was also attending the prom with his marefriend Nox. Eventually the door opened and Avia stepped outside. Her dress was simple yet beautiful.
Lightning: “Oh, Ms. Avia you look very nice tonight.”
Avia: “You look very nice yourself Mr. Lightning.”
LF: “Well I suppose we should get going. “
Lightning had arranged for a carriage ride to the location the prom was being held at. It was mostly a quiet ride neither of the saying much. Eventually Lightning managed to break the ice and the conversation slowly grew. By the time they arrived at the prom they were chatting almost as if old friends. They both looked around the prom seeing all the ponies who attended.
LF: “Come on lets get a table and just relax for a bit.”
Lightning, Squall, Nox and Avia all sat at the table and caught up with each other having been a while since he had gotten a chance to speak with his friend. During the conversation Lightning discovered Avia shared a similar love of books adventure novels in particular. The continued getting to know each other slowly becoming friends. Eventually the topic of dancing had come up and somehow he was convinced to try to. Lightning wasn’t much of a dancer but he figured it would be something he could try.
As they stood up Squall bumped Avia causing her to fall forward.
LF: “Oh! Avia are you okay?
Avia: “Oh.. um.. yes.. thank you Lightning.
Squall: “Opps sorry about that sis didn’t mean to bump you.”
Squall walked off with Nox snickering. Both Lighting and Avia shook their heads.
LF/Avia: “Dork….”
Afterwards the started laughing and went to the floor to dance. After a few hours of talking and a little bit of dancing the group decided to call it a night and headed back towards home. Nox and Squall went inside first leaving Avia and Lightning outside to say good night. Avia: “Thank you for a nice night Lighting. It was nice to get this chance to get to know you a little bit.
LF: “Like wise. I really hope we can hang out again soon Avia. By the way feel free to stop by my house anytime. I have plenty of adventure novels you could borrow if you want.
She nods. “Okay thank you I’ll keep that in mind.
LF: “Well good night Avia it was a nice evening.”
She leaned forward and give him a quick peck on the cheek.
Avia: “Goodnight.”
She walks inside before Lighting was able to say anything. Lightning stood there for a few moments his cheeks burning red from the light kiss. It was just a friendly kiss he reasoned with himself. After all she was a sweet mare and Squall had mentioned she was friendly mare.
