Squall Wines 2014 Zinfandel. Delicate Zinfandels to me defeat the purpose. I love leathery, spicy and licorice Zinfandels because it highlights the potential of the grape. This wine was good but too fruit forward to distinguish itself from Zins from Alexander Valley or Napa. A Lodi Zin should punch you in the stomach with its characteristics unique to the best of Lodi.
